The Wake County Community Education Committee was renamed as a movement, “The Flood Group” (TFG). TFG’s focus is to ensure that our schools, communities, and families are collectively providing a real chance for children to achieve educational excellence, by making them effective citizens who are globally competitive. TFG’s strategy requires that power of the clergy, along with community leadership, and energetic leaders commit to the challenge of ensuring educational attainment and success for our children. Bringing together diverse talents and forces with the community to foster the achievement of a quality education for all children. Building Confidence, Inspiring Hope, Enhancing Success.
Ensuring educational attainment for our children by valuing and promoting a desired state of affairs for the good of their success at school, at home, in the community, and within individual excellence. The Flood Group is an “inspired movement of volunteers” committed to being a premier educational resource emanating from the Southeast Raleigh community into neighboring communities, towns, and cities under the Wake County School System. Further, our actions as a vital entity will bring together diverse talents and forces to foster environments of achievement and excellence affecting quality education for all our ‘public school’ children.
